European Population: Variation on Common Themes 1997, Cracow, Poland

The conference "European Population: Variations on Common Themes" was organized by the European Association for Population Studies (EAPS) in collaboration with the Institute of Statistics and Demography at the Warsaw School of Economics and the Cracow Academy of Sciences. The conference aimed at providing insights into the variations in European population trends and patterns, the various contexts which shape this variety, as well as its consequences.

This international conference was organised by EAPS in collaboration with the Institute of Statistics and Demography at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), the Committee of Demographic Sciences at the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polish Demograpic Society, the Central Statistical Office of Poland and the Polish Governmental Population Council under the honorary auspices of the President of the Republic of Poland His Excellency Aleksander Kwasniewski.
