This overview summarizes the various scientific activities of EAPS. Separate sections are devoted to:

European Population Conferences

European Population Conferences (EPC's) are general scientific conferences which are organized by EAPS every two years.

Events

EAPS is involved in the co-organisation of many other events, like specialised conferences, seminars and workshops.

Working Groups

To stimulate international and multidisciplinary population studies with a special focus on Europe's population, various Working Groups are active.

Training

This section provides an overview of training and education in population.

Gunther Beyer Award

As a tribute to one of the founding fathers of EAPS, the Council awards a prize for the best paper by a young scholar at each European Population Conference.

Poster Award

The participants in each European Population Conference vote for the three best Posters.

Anton C. Kuijsten Foundation for Demography

This foundation has as goal to promote research on applied demography, notably by researchers in Central and Eastern European countries.

Members may in principle participate in all EAPS-activities. Most of these activities, such as the conferences and workshops, are also open to non-members, who are however required to pay a higher participation fee than members.
