European Population Conference 1999, The Hague, The Netherlands

This European Population Conference (EPC1999) was jointly organized by the European Association for Population Studies (EAPS) and the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP), in collaboration with the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI), Statistics Netherlands and the Netherlands Demographic Society.

EPC 1999 focused on comparative population issues and traced the degree of homogeneity or heterogeneity of European populations under the general motto "European populations on the treshold of the new millennium: unity in diversity".
