Population Development and Emerging Requirements for Data Comparability: Focus on the Baltic and Caucasian Region

This workshop was organized by the Estonian Demographic Association (EDA) and Estonian Inter-university Population Research Centre (EKDK), in collaboration with the demographic community and
relevant national institutions in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia and Lithuania.

The aim of the workshop was to compare the continuity and discontinuity of population developments across the Baltic (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) and Caucasian (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia)
regions by focusing on the availability and comparability of population-related information and statistics. Demographers, population analysts and experts in population and social statistics from
country-leading and international institutions aimed at taking stock of the accumulated experience and sharing the best practices between the countries.
