Opening Ceremony

EPC 2026 Opening, June 3^rd. Limited Access.Plan to Register early at Belmeloro and arrive early at the Opening!

The Opening Ceremony of EPC 2026 will take place in Palazzo Re Enzo in the historical centre of Bologna and will be followed by the Welcome Reception. The Opening starts at 17.30 hrs. Plan to arrive early!

The Palazzo is a unique venue but, for safety reasons, can only accommodate 750 participants. Tickets for the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception have been distributed on a "first registered, first served" basis. If you were among the first to register you will be informed at the Registration Desk in the Belmeloro venue, and this will also be indicated on the participant badge. Plan to register early at the Belmeloro desk to avoid long waiting at the entrance of the Palazzo.

By ticking the box on the EPC registration form you can still indicate your wish to join the Opening but this is not a guarantee that you can join. Participation only depended on the time of your registration. The actual number of participants at the Opening will be closely monitored by the local authorities. 

PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY!

We advise to register early at the Belmeloro desk and well in time before the Opening at the Palazzo. An EPC desk will be available at the Palazzo where you can enter a waiting list if the maximum number of participants is reached and places become available in case of "no shows” or when people leave early. This desk is not set up to register and distribute badges, which should be done at the Belmeloro desk!
