EPC 2026 Student Grants: two categories

The Council of EAPS sponsors a limited number of Student Grants to help cover the costs of participation in the European Population Conference 2026. Each grant includes a waiver of the EPC 2026 registration fee and a financial contribution of Euro 500.

There are two types of Student Grants for EPC 2026: Category A and Category B.

Category A Grants are meant for students who are living/working in a low- or middle-income country, and who have an accepted presentation (paper or poster) on the EPC 2026 program.

Category B Grants. In light of the exceptionally harsh conditions currently affecting specific types of scientific research in several countries, a limited number of grants will be available for students from high income countries who have an accepted presentation (paper or poster) on the EPC 2026 program and whose project that they would present at EPC 2026 was supported by a government grant that was terminated for political or other non-scientific reasons, and who do not have other sources of funding to attend EPC.

Applications should include:

World Bank data will be used to determine if a country qualifies as low or middle income (https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/knowledgebase/articles/906519-world-bank-country-and-lending-groups). Low Income Countries (combining the low and lower middle WB categories) and Middle Income Countries (the upper middle WB category).

Applications should be sent to EPC2026@nidi.nl by 15 February 2026 at the latest and will be reviewed by the EAPS Council.
